The PNC calls on the international community to protect Palestinian people from the crimes and terrorism of the Israeli occupation

PNC called on the international community and its institutions to provide protection to the unarmed Palestinian people from the crimes and aggression of the Israeli occupation, especially in the besieged Gaza Strip.

PNC strongly condemned the assassination of Mr. Bahaa Abul-Atta and his wife at the dawn of 12th of Nov. 2019, as a result of a cowardly Israeli air raid that destroyed his house and followed by subsequent Israeli terroristic raids that resulted in killing (10) and injured tens of Palestinians.

The responsibility of the United Nations Security Council is to intervene immediately, PNC stressed, to stop these aggressive terrorist crimes against Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, and the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank and the city of Jerusalem. The most recent Israeli crime is killing the martyr Omar Al-Badawi yesterday in Al-Arroub Refugee Camp. PNC is calling for international action to stop the Israeli crimes and terrorism, stressing the right of Palestinian people to defend himself and his rights by all legitimate means.

PNC stressed also that the settlers’ government led by Netanyahu deliberately escalates and exaggerates the bloodshed of Palestinians, through the policy of cowardly assassinations and shelling of residential buildings, in an Israeli attempt to undermine the will of the Palestinian people, block the way to restore Palestinian national unity, and serve internal Israeli goals and agenda

The PNC represents the supreme authority of the Palestinian people in all their places of residence. It sets PLO policies and plans to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people for self-determination, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the return of refugees to their homes.After Al-Nakba (catastrophe) of 1948, the Arab Higher Committee for Palestine, headed by Haj Amin Al-Husseini, decided to call for the convening of a Palestine National Council which met in Gaza in 1October 1948, which was the first Palestinian legislative authority to be established in the Arab state of Palestine. The Council then formed an all-Palestine government headed by Hilmi Abdel Baqi, who represented Palestine in the league of Arab States.The first national conference was held inJerusalem on 28May -2June 1964. This first National Council had 422 members, declared the establishment of the PlO, which represents the leadership of the Palestinian Arab people. The most important of which is the Palestinian National Charter, the Statutes of the Organization and others, and Mr. Ahmad Al-Shukairy was elected Chairman of the PlO.
