The (PNC) in commemoration of the Naksa (Catastrophe): Our people and leadership are adhering to their eternal right in Palestine, and will fail the plots to liquidate their cause

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) confirmed that Palestinian people and their leadership are steadfast in the face of the conspiracy, and are committed to their eternal right to return and the independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and will fail all plans and projects aimed at liquidating their cause.

In a statement, PNC said on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the relapse of June 1967, in which Israel occupied the rest of the Palestinian land (West Bank and Gaza Strip, including East Jerusalem), the Syrian Golan and the Egyptian Sinai: there is no peace, no security and no stability except with the ending of the occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital on the borders of 4th of June 1967 and the right of return of the refugees to their homes in accordance with Resolution 194.

PNC stressed that the road to peace, stability and prosperity in the region will firstly go through ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, and not to bypass the solution into economic alternatives, conferences and deals based on biblical ideas and dreams of the settlers lobby in the Trump’s administration, and serving the dreams of the Israeli rightists led by Netanyahu's government.

After 52 years of its occupation, PNC confirmed that the city of Jerusalem and its Muslim and Christian people are steadfast in the face of aggression and Judaization in its various forms. Jerusalem will not surrender to Trump’s administration and its aggressive decisions by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel the occupying state.

PNC called on the United Nations to implement its resolutions on the Palestinian issue, and not to stand idly by on the continuation of the occupation and its crimes against Palestinian people. It’s the time for the international community to hold Israel accountable for its crimes and violations of international resolutions and non-compliance with the charters and treaties on which civilized nations relations are based.

PNC renewed the call for the international protection of our Palestinian people and our land from Israeli military and settlers’ terrorism who continue their daily aggression against Palestinians in their towns, villages and camps.

PNC reminded the parliaments of the world and its federations, that Israel still continues to occupy Palestine, works by all means to control the land and change its features, commit murders, detention, ethnic cleansing, and violates international legitimacy and human rights conventions. Therefore, it is the responsibility of free parliaments and their countries to condemn the occupation and recognize the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.

PNC also reiterated the continuation of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation in all legitimate forms and means, until we fulfill all the rights to return to homeland and establishing of a sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The(PLO) is addressing the fiercest US-Israeli aggressive campaign against the rights of our people

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) confirmed that the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is tackling the fiercest American-Israeli aggressive campaign targeting the right of return, the state and Jerusalem, and PLO will succeed in thwarting the long and near campaigns that are targeting the steadfastness of the Palestinian position, just as it succeeded in maintaining the independence of the national decision, it will not allow anyone to speak on behalf of our Palestinian people, and will not allow anyone to claim to represent and care for the Palestinian interests except Palestinians.

In a statement on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the founding of the PLO, PNC said that the repercussions of the events - no doubt - proved that the Palestine Liberation Organization is the home of all Palestinians in all places wherever they are, the solid expression of the national position that is facing the attempts to violate the rights of our people and the Palestinian people united representation.

PNC affirmed that the PLO will remain the custodian of the rights of the Palestinian people and representing its supreme interests. It will continue to call for boycotting the economic conference to be held at a US invitation in Bahrain next month and aims to impose an economic solution instead of a political solution, whose legal references and requirements are known. All these desperate attempts will go to the maze of history, as what happened with scores of attempts by those who dared to speak on behalf of our people or to claim concern for their interests, whether political or economic.

PNC added that the PLO has been able to preserve the rights of self-determination and return, and was able to achieve the international recognition in the United Nations for the Palestinian state with its capital city of Jerusalem on the borders of the fourth of June 1967, and will never give up those rights whatever the temptations, and the pressures will intensify.

PNC said in its statement: On this day in 1964, the city of Jerusalem hosted hundreds of representatives of the Palestinian people from within the homeland and from the diaspora to declare that the will of the people to rise will never be stopped by anyone. The Palestinian people restored their personality and national identity after the Nakba )the catastrophe( that occurred in 1948. The birth of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of the people emerged from the ashes of the Nakba (the catastrophe), and our people vowed to return to their homeland.

PNC stressed that it will continue to work to activate and strengthen the institutions of the PLO to take its natural place in the Palestinian political system, as the founders and early martyrs from Ahmed Shuqairi to George Habash to Abu Ammar wanted to, in addition to other martyrs and leaders who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our people rights, and in defense of its independent decision.

PNC reiterated that our confrontation with the Israeli occupation entails primarily to end the divide of Palestinians and achieve unity within the framework of the PLO, implement the decisions of the PNC at its last session and implement the decisions of the central councils regarding to revoke the recognition of the State of Israel, until Israel recognizes the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, and stop Israel from practicing a policy of racial discrimination aimed at the elimination of our right to self-determination, return and statehood.

The (PNC): Palestinian people need international conferences leading to occupation elimination and enabling self-determination

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) stressed that the Palestinian people need international conferences leading to the elimination of the Israeli occupation with all its effects on the land of the Palestinian state with its capital Jerusalem, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, and does not need conferences calling for coexistence with the crimes and terrorism of this racist occupation, and prolonging its duration.

In a statement issued today, PNC warned against the Trump's administration call for an economic workshop in Bahrain to support peace and prosperity in the Palestinian territories to be held on 25 and 26 of June 2019, under false and deceptive allegations. Trump's administration capitalized on everything encourages the settlement and occupation interests, except peace and adherence to the rules of international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy on which its plan for peace in the Middle East must be based.

PNC affirmed that the real purpose of such conferences and invitations is to legitimize the American aggression that began on the Palestinian rights since December 2017 by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the occupying state and transferring the American embassy to it, trying to cancel the refugees issue, considering the settlements legitimate, the closure of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington, and other illegal steps.

PNC stressed that we need to remove the Israeli occupation where the Palestinian economy can be freed from dependency and attachment, so that the Palestinian people can control their capabilities, resources and their natural and economic resources. That’s to say Palestinian people are capable of exploiting all its resources and creating the development necessary to lead a dignified life far from blackmail and discrimination.

PNC added that any justification to participate in this economic workshop, under the pretext of contributing to the suffering of our people, are only arguments and justifications far from the real cause and objectives planned by the Trump's administration and the Israeli occupation state, to sell the illusion to the Palestinian people and the other peoples of the region, and the liquidation of Palestinian rights to self-determination, return and the establishment of a state with Jerusalem as its capital.

PNC affirmed that there will be no coexistence with the occupation, and that development, investment and improvement of the standard of living are the rights of Palestinian people. This will only be achieved by ending the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, and resolving the refugee issue in accordance with UN Resolution 194.

PNC called on the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the Islamic Parliaments Unions to openly express their positions by rejecting all plans, workshops and invitations that violate the resolutions of the Arab and Islamic summits, and the resolutions of Arab and Islamic parliaments that prohibit any form of normalization with the Israeli occupation.

The German parliament (The Bundestag) decision on the boycott movements is a bias towards occupation, settlement and racial discrimination

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) deemed the approval of the German Bundestag (the Parliament) on the bill of resolution condemning the Palestinian international boycott movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions ‘BDS”) an anti-Semitic movement, and encouraging, supporting and blindly condoning the occupation, settlement and racial discrimination practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people over 71 years ago.

In a statement released today, PNC stressed that democratic parliaments must be in line with international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, as well as the people’s rights and justice, and should give a hand to the peoples oppressed under occupation, and not to be devoted to the occupation, but to be obliged to moral duty of fighting the occupation. Democratic parliaments should not defend occupation’s crimes, injustice and oppression of the rights of peoples to freedom, dignity and security.

PNC deeply regrets that the German legislators have succumbed to the pressures, lies and allegations that are not built on real basis but presented as a propaganda of the supporters of the Israeli occupation in Germany against the international movement BDS, the movement which peacefully calls for an end to the Israeli occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories, and the establishment of the independent state of Palestine, and the Palestinian people access to all their rights in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.

PNC called on The Bundestag to rescind the above-mentioned German Bundestag law and declare immediately its support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, the establishment of an independent state on their land with Jerusalem as its capital, and demand the German government to recognize the state of Palestine, and the pressure to end the racial Israeli occupation, instead of criminalizing the free people in the world who believe in the values of freedom, justice and reject injustice and occupation.

PNC called on international parliamentary unions, especially the European Parliament, the Arab and Islamic parliamentary unions and the free world parliaments, to pressure the German Bundestag to repeal its unjustified decision and law on the BDS movement, which supports the rights of the Palestinian people to resist occupation and to live freely and in dignity, and to support freedom and justice value worldwide.

The(PNC) commemorates the Nakba (Catastrophe) and addresses the Parliaments of the world and demands supporting the Palestinian people rights and homeland return.

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) addressed the regional and international parliamentary associations, foremost among them the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which includes 176 member parliaments, on the occasion of the 71-year anniversary of the Nakba (Catastrophe) that befell the Palestinian people in 1948 by Zionist gangs after dozens of massacres, resulted in the killing (martyrdom) of more than 15 thousands of Palestinians, and the displacement of more than half of our people outside and at homeland.

PNC in identical letters, sent by the Speaker of the Council Mr. Saleem Al-Za’anoun to more than 11 Arab, Islamic, African, European, Latin and international parliamentary associations and federations, confirmed that the catastrophic consequences of the Nakba are still ongoing, accompanied by attempts to revoke the right of self-determination for our people, and denying the right to return to homeland, and depriving the Palestinian people from an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

PNC explained that the anniversary of the Nakba this year is also coincident with the leaks of plans and proposals of the American (Deal of the Century), which goes beyond all relevant UN resolutions, particularly the revocation of the right of return of Palestinian refugees to their homes in accordance with Resolution 194. In addition to the cancelation of UNRWA Agency - the witness on the tragedy of refugees - which established by Resolution 302 of 1949.

In the circular letters, the PNC emphasized the adherence to the inalienable Palestinian national rights, foremost of which is the right of return, the end of the Israeli occupation, the establishment of a Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the relevant international resolutions, and the inadmissibility of turning the occupation into a normal situation, and the justification for its aggression, occupation and procedures which contradict with the principles, rules and provisions of international law, and successive resolutions of international legitimacy in this regard.

PNC explained in its letters that (Israel) the occupying state continues its crimes and occupation of our people, through the legislation of the Knesset, and that it still considers itself above international law, refuses to implement the UN resolutions on the rights of our people, and practicing policy of imposing facts, especially settlements, on the occupied Palestinian territories.

PNC called on the Heads of the parliamentary associations and their members to join efforts to overcome the injustice imposed on our people, support their struggle for freedom and return, and force the Israeli parliament (the Knesset) to stop legitimizing the occupation, its crimes and terrorizing our people.

On the 71st anniversary of the Nakba, PNC also called upon the governments of the world, especially the European governments, to support the Palestinian people and practically help them to get rid of the occupation, and to live in freedom and dignity in their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

PNC called on the parliamentary unions to work with the United Nations and its institutions to compel the Israeli occupation to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy to achieve peace in the Middle East by ending its occupation of the Palestinian people and enabling the Palestinians to self-determination and return to its land, in addition to establishing the Palestinian state as per the international legitimate resolutions in this regard.

PNC urged the parliamentary unions to defend UNRWA to continue its role towards the Palestinian refugees until their cause is resolved in accordance with the UN resolution 194, and to reject any attempts to undermine its mission to provide services to about six million refugees.

PNC reaffirmed that we are the original owners of the country, despite the displacement of more than 800 thousands of our people from their homeland and prevent them from returning to it, and despite the crimes of ethnic cleansing, during which the Zionist gangs committed more than 70 massacres, and destroyed more than 531 villages and cities in full. However our people are determined to stay in their land. Knowing that, by the end of 2018, the total number of Palestinian people in the world reached 13.1 million, indicating that the number of Palestinians has increased more than nine times since the1948 Nakba. More than half of them (6.48 million) live in historic Palestine, and out of them (1.57 million) live in the territories occupied in 1948.

PNC warned that the coming danger lies in Zionist ideology, which has helped ethnic cleansing since before 1948, and his work is still alive and ongoing, and it seems that time is working on behalf of the supporters Israelis of the Palestinian transfer and the recurrence of the Nakba (the Palestinian Holocaust), whereby they foster their strength in Israel day after day.

We, the Palestinian National Council, salute our people in the homeland and the Diaspora, who have demonstrated in the squares, parks and capitals of the world to express the commitment to their right to return to their homeland Palestine; a right that does not fall by aging, it’s an individual and collective right guaranteed by the resolutions of international legitimacy and international human rights instruments. PNC also paid tribute to our people in the homeland for their steadfastness in their land.

PNC condemns Israeli terrorism in Gaza Strip and demands protection for our people

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) condemned the continued Israeli terrorism in Gaza Strip, killing 28 Palestinians, including the infant girl Saba Abu Arar (14 months) and her pregnant mother after Israeli killing planes bombed the house they were sheltered in.

In a statement issued today, the Palestinian National Council (PNC) called upon the international community and its institutions, especially the United Nations, to stop the policy of shameful silence on the crimes of the Israeli occupation which targets civilians, destroys residential buildings and infrastructure, panic and terrorizes the Palestinians. This is a serious violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 which is dedicated to protect the civilian persons in time of war, and non-aggression against public and private property.

PNC called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations to expedite taking the necessary measures to implement the United Nations General Assembly resolution adopted a year ago. PNC also called for the protection of our armless people, who are being bombarded by planes, artillery and warships, as well as forcing people to live under siege and colonial settlement in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and is exposed daily to terrorism of the settlers.

PNC called upon the regional and international parliamentary unions including the free world parliaments to declare their position by rejecting and condemning the crimes of the occupation, killing children and women, destroying homes on its safe population, its continued blockade of Gaza Strip and Israeli continued settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories.

PNC affirmed that the Israeli aggression and the declarations of the Trump administration's - The Israeli occupation partner in the terrorism - on the settlement of the conflict (Deal of the Century) are aimed at imposing incomplete solutions on our people and its leadership and accepting agreements that do not depend on the resolutions of international legitimacy which guaranteed the Palestinian right of self-determination and return to homeland, in addition to establishing of an independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital.

PNC stressed that confronting the Israeli-American simultaneous aggression requires not giving the Israeli occupation the opportunity to isolate our trapped people in Gaza Strip and putting them in the position of cheap extortion. PNC called for ending the divide, and work to achieve national reconciliation quickly by implementing the relevant agreements, to enable the Palestinian government to resume its role in serving and defending our people in Gaza Strip.

The PNC praises the struggle and sacrifices of Palestinian workers and demands their fairness

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) praised the struggle of the workers of Palestine and the great sacrifices they make, and congratulating them on the occasion of International Labor Day, which falls on this Wednesday.
In a statement issued today PNC asserted that the workers of Palestine are the most important solid and broad assets which founded the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). They are at the forefront of the strugglers at all levels, they are the ones who bear the policies of the Israeli occupation of racism, injustice and oppression that they are subjected to as a result, and they who have patience for the hardship of living but steadfast in their land.
PNC called upon the International Labor Organization (ILO), the trade unions and associations in the world to defend and protect the rights of Palestinian workers in accordance with the international covenants on international labor standards, whereby the Israeli occupation practices the most egregious violations of international law, international conventions and human rights covenants that guarantee the workers' rights and dignity.
PNC called on the Executive Committee of the PLO and the Palestinian government to implement the decision of the PNC to develop legislations and laws that guarantee the economic and social rights of the Palestinian laborer class, and to promote trade union freedoms and social security, in accordance with the international covenants on economic and social rights and international and Arab labor standards.
PNC affirmed that it’s time to treat the workers of Palestine fairly, to release them of injustice and to achieve justice for them. PNC urges the world workers communities to declare their strong solidarity and support to Palestinian workers to live in freedom and dignity, in addition to ending the Israeli occupation to establish the Palestinian independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
